Ronnie James Dio dead

Ronnie James Dio, the heavy metal legend has passed away after a year long battle with stomach cancer. Dio is prehaps most famout for replacing Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath. He did three stints as lead singer of Black Sabbath, although his last tour with Sabbath thye used the name Heaven and Hell. He cofounded Rainbow in 1975 with Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple fame. HE also fronted his own band, Dio. Some of his most famous songs include Holy Diver and The End of the Line. His wife Wendy reported his death on his website.

Ronnie was 67 years old and definitely died too soon. His voice was unmistakeable and his songs were pure poetry. He will be missed not only by metal heads but by music fans all around the world.
