Well they promised to take the brutality "up a notch" on this remake of the revenge classic, but will they really? Will this be as brutal and controversial as the first? Not likely. They might want to push the envelope but they want to get it into theaters. I am expecting just a mindless torture and gore fest without any of the menaing of the first film. In the originalI Spit On Your Grave we saw a woman physically and mentally abused but not destroyed. Even though they tried to destroy her self worth she was able to recuperate and go on a blood soaked trail of revenge. I guess we should hope for the best but expect just another souless Hollywood remake.
